First Single of 2025

WHATCHA WANNA DO

For Official Release: February 7, 2025

Ben Klick, known as “The Guitar Pickin’ Country Gentleman” who fuses modern country sounds with a traditional twist, wrote and released a brand new song, “Whatcha Wanna Do”. After moving from his hometown in West Kelowna, BC to Nashville in 2024, Klick has been working as an artist, songwriter, guitar player, and producer in Music City.

Klick states, “You never know when inspiration will strike down here”. Inspired by taking in a show at The Bluebird Café in Nashville, TN, the first release of 2025, “Whatcha Wanna Do”, is a fun, up-tempo love song about a day in the life of being in love.

“I went to a writers’ round in Nashville at The Bluebird Café for my birthday last year. One of the writers in the round explained how she set a 30 minute timer and challenged herself to write a song within that time. That song turned out to be “Let’s Go To Vegas” for Faith Hill – a single and hit back in 1995 on the country music charts. So I went home, set a timer, and had some fun!”, says Klick.

This debut single keeps that traditional side of country music Klick is known for. Guitars, fiddles, steel, and a story. And may even give you a few ideas for the next date night!

Additionally, for those who know Ben and his story, his fundraiser, “Music Fest MS”, is crossing the border and being held at The Listening Room Café, on Tuesday, March 11, taking part in “MS Awareness Week” with all ticket proceeds going back to support the auto-immune disease. The writers’ round features both Canadian and American songwriters and artists including Aaron Goodvin, The Heels, Sean “Turk” McNamara, and Ben Klick. The award-winning lineup have all been affected in one way or another by MS, or a branch of the disease, in their own lives.

Klick moved to Nashville, TN officially 1 year ago to further develop his career as an artist, guitar player, songwriter, and producer. He’s been performing at various venues around town in songwriter rounds, playing guitar for other artists such as The Heels, Bryan Ruby, Judy Paster, Amanda Cooksey, and Robert Ross amongst others, picked up a gig as a fill-in musician on The Music City Rollin’ Jamboree, recording guitars on multiple projects, and has been producing demos and releases for artists to be heard in 2025.

“Whatcha Wanna Do” can be streamed on all digital download and streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music.
